HE INNOVATES

Following the success of the 7-day She Builds AI workshop series, Gacalo Tech proudly hosted SHE INNOVATES on April 21–22, 2026. As the organization's inaugural AI hackathon, this two-day event provided a dynamic platform for participants to transition from learning about AI to actively building with it.

The Mission: Build Real, Solve Real, Shape the Future The hackathon challenged students, beginners, AI enthusiasts, and young women in STEM to design AI-driven solutions targeting real-world community problems. To ensure technology remains inclusive, the event was completely accessible no prior coding or programming experience was required to participate, pitch, and innovate.

Competition Details & Awards Over the course of the two-day event, participants collaborated, shared ideas, and presented their final AI projects to the community. The hackathon concluded by recognizing the most outstanding innovators:

Top 3 Winners: Received official certificates for developing the strongest, most impactful project pitches.
